Praise Paulo Coehlo

As simple and run of the mill this novel was, it was so realistic and hit so close to home that I give it 5+stars. The simplicity of it all is what made it so captivating along with the unique writing style  Paulo wrote the story of the dialog between all of the characters in. As soon as I began reading the first page I was hooked. The premise lured me in right away because anyone could relate to what the main character, Linda went through. Her journey through the maddening, downward spiral she endured by herself and kept to herself was so riveting & real that it felt like I was experiencing what she was. I was especially happy when I got to the end of Adultery that it was just as realistic as the beginning & middle; not some convoluted, Hollywood Esq daydream type of ending. Paulo Coelho even threw in some quotes about God and his idea of what he thinks of being a good person is. I loved that this book didn't have excerpts literally taken from the bible to deem it "religious" but instead was interpreted as a belief that someone who believes in God would think about and put on paper.
To be honest, I have never heard of Paulo Coelho until I started reading and researching the Law of attraction (L.O.A.) and the universal law (s). I have always heard of his other book he wrote, The Alchemist but I never knew it was he who wrote it.

This quote is the basis of The Secret series Rhonda Byrne has written, The Power: "What would the world be without love? First of all, you wouldn't even exist; without love you couldn't have been born. ...If the force of love ceased today, the entire human race would decrease and eventually die out."

I love all of the quotes about what he thinks life is about such as what I have previously posted on my blog:
In addition to this I could now add how much I love him as a novelist as well. My favorite quote he wrote in Adultery that resonated with me is when he wrote on page 83: "You don't choose life; it chooses you. There's no point in asking why life has reserved certain joys or griefs, you just accept them and carry on...We can't choose our lives, but we can decide what to do with the joys or griefs we're given."
I live my life with that philosophy as well, in my head I say similar words that have the same effect: "You cannot change the deck of cards you are dealt, you could only make the most of what you are given.....You cannot change people and what they choose to do, you could only change yourself and your own actions."-Yours truly
